“It is better to give than to receive.” We’ve all heard this saying before, correct? I am a firm believer in what this message communicates but I feel that it falls just a bit short of reality. You see, when we give, whether it be a little or a lot, time or money, we receive as well. The reward in giving may not be of monetary value, yet far greater. The reward you receive comes via the positive light and energy of the universe. Many attribute this to the workings of God. Now, I’m not here to preach, believe me. I hold a strong belief that one’s faith or lack thereof is one’s personal journey and is not to be judged or ridiculed. We are all free to believe or not to believe. However, the message holds absolute truth. When we give, we are transferring positivity from ourselves unto others. That “light” creates a frequency in others that begins to emit that same light, creating a cyclical transmission and receipt of positivity and good deeds. Many refer to this as Karma or Paying it Forward. Take a lighthouse, for example. A lighthouse receives light via the electrical bulbs from within and then reflects, or transmits that light, casting out darkness. Be the lighthouse. Cast your light for others to receive. You never know how much it can affect someone’s day, possibly their life. So I’ll add my twist to this message. “When you give, you receive.” |
